The University of Minnesota’s Driven to Discover Research initiative (D2D) is conducting a pilot project to extend research opportunities to county fairs across Minnesota, including the Stevens County Fair in Morris, Aug. 10-14.

UMN Morris Intercultural Sustainability Leaders (ISLe) partnered with the West Central Clean Energy Resource Team to engage college students to meet with clean energy professionals.

2022 graduate was part of a 62-year-old legacy stretching all the way back to the very first days of UMN Morris 

Area high school students participated in the inaugural Morris Challenge Youth Institute on the UMN Morris campus.  

Amy Powers ’96 and Jennifer Westendorf ’91 are recipients of the 2022 University of Minnesota Morris Distinguished Alumni Award. Both will be recognized for their achievements during Homecoming 2022, to be held Oct. 7-9, 2022.

Molly Falnes, James Wojtaszek, and Peggy Kill have received Iowa & Minnesota Campus Compact Presidents’ awards.

The United Staff Association (USA) at the University of Minnesota Morris presented two scholarships for 2022, to Dalton Koehler and Callista Kill.  

UMN Morris and UMN WCROC partner to launch the Center for Renewable Energy Storage Technology, or CREST. The partners will develop a large-scale battery-storage demonstration project.

In December the Morris Campus Student Association (MCSA) with support from the Office of Sustainability and Sodexo hosted a Sustainability Forum to celebrate the diversity of sustainability activity happening across campus and the Morris community.
