In addition to vying for prestigious awards, candidates will be able to connect with other scholarship finalists; to interact with current students; to engage with faculty, staff, and alumni; and to explore the campus. Students and families also take part in tours of the Morris community.

The University of Minnesota, Morris will welcome more than 400 prospective students and their families during the eleventh annual Community of Scholars event. Students from across the country will compete for the campus's most prestigious competitive scholarships: the Prairie Scholars Award and the Morris Scholars Award.

In addition to vying for prestigious awards, candidates will be able to connect with other scholarship finalists; to interact with current students; to engage with faculty, staff, and alumni; and to explore the campus. Students and families also take part in tours of the Morris community.

The Prairie Scholars Award is a full-tuition scholarship package renewable for up to four years. Recipients are selected for their exemplary academic and leadership records.

The Morris Scholars Award includes a $24,000 scholarship package (disbursed evenly over four years) and a one-time $2,500 scholarly stipend. This stipend may be used to engage in an eligible scholarship experience such as a research or artistic project, study abroad, or travel to academic conferences during a student's second, third, or fourth year at Morris.

Invited students each will attend Community of Scholars Friday, February 3, or Saturday, February 4. For more information, visit morris.umn.edu/admissions-aid or call the Office of Admissions at 320-589-6035 or 888-866-3382.
