Unique project provided Kingston learning experience like no other

Olivia Kingston welcomed the opportunities she had as a UMN Morris student to gain hands-on experience. One such opportunity was to organize and display a large collection of historical paleography materials in a way that others could view and learn from them.

UMN Morris will celebrate 60th Commencement

More than 225 University of Minnesota Morris students will receive their degrees at the 60th commencement on Saturday, May 13. The ceremony will take place at 1:30 p.m. on the campus mall.

Alumni Spotlight: Kris (Santjer) Hauge '00

Kris (Santjer) Hauge ’00, started her undergraduate journey at a relatively large college and was so unhappy that she considered just dropping out of college altogether. But her older brother, Steve, had attended UMN Morris and encouraged her to check it out.  As it turns out, UMN Morris was where she fit in.

UMN Morris faculty and staff honored

University of Minnesota Morris faculty and staff members were honored at the annual Recognition Celebration on Thursday, April 20. Hosted by Acting Chancellor Janet Schrunk Ericksen, the event provided the campus community a chance to congratulate faculty and staff award recipients and to thank retirees for their service to the campus.

Bread 'N Bowls event on April 24

The 16th Annual Bread 'N Bowls event will take place on Monday, April 24th, from 5:30–7 p.m. at the Morris Area Elementary School (151 South Columbia  Avenue, Morris, MN 56267). Since 2008, Bread N’ Bowls has been raising awareness about violence and poverty in our community, as well as providing support for local organizations such as the Food Shelf, Someplace safe, and Prairie Renaissance Cultural Alliance (PRCA).
