A tradition passed down through three generations of the Naipo family, Kahulanui will strum up memories of the past and appreciation for cultural diversity in the present through its classic Hawaiian music.

The 2016–17 University of Minnesota, Morris Performing Arts Series concludes with Kahulanui on Saturday, April 22. The band will perform at 7:30 p.m. in the Student Center's Edson Auditorium.

Kahulanui—"the big dance"—draws its inspiration from 1920s and 30s Hawaiian Swing. A tradition passed down through three generations of the Naipo family, Kahulanui will strum up memories of the past and appreciation for cultural diversity in the present through its classic Hawaiian music.
