Commission on Women Luncheon

The Commission on Women invites you to join them for the annual Celebration of Women Luncheon. The luncheon will take place on Tuesday, May 3, from 11:30 a.m.—1:00 p.m. in the LaFave House (305 College Avenue, Morris, MN 56267). All employees who identify as women and those who support the Commission on Women's feminist mission are invited to attend the event. A light lunch, cupcake bar, and creative expression activities will be available.

UMAC Conference Track Meet

The UMM Cougars track and field team will be hosting the UMAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship Meet on Friday, May 6, and Saturday, May 7. The team invites you to come and cheer them on as they compete in this year’s conference championship. If you’d like to take your support a step further, you can sign up to volunteer by contacting Tony Krueger at krue0279@morris.umn.edu

David Ebershoff

Students from Michael Lackey's multicultural literature course and Julie Eckerle's gender in literature and culture class had a Skype conversation with David Ebershoff on Thursday, April 14. Ebershoff is the author of The Danish Girl, a novel based on the first sex confirmation surgery. The book was recently made into an award-winning film.

Health Screening

Gain a better understanding of your health and earn 150 points for your Wellness Points Bank by attending the Biometric Health Screening on Wednesday, May 4, in the RFC South Gym from 7:00-10:30 a.m. Biometric Health Screenings are no charge for UPlan medical program members and covered spouses or same-sex domestic partners. It takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete the tests. Walk-ins are welcome, but we'd appreciate it if you would schedule your appointment.


UMAC Player of the Week

Paige Larson named UMAC Player of the Week

After hitting for the cycle on Saturday, April 23, and driving in 14 runs in four games, sophomore outfielder Paige Larson was named the UMAC Softball Player of the Week. Larson was 12-14 at the plate for a whopping .857 batting average.
